3/4 Syrah plus 1/4 Grenache and Sangiovese combined, “La Cuadrilla” comes from Stolpman Vineyard vineyard workers’ training block…cuadra en español. (See below for full story of this wine – it’s the coolest.) The wine is full of pretty, rich, dark red berries/cherries, brown pie spices, mocha and black licorice. Bottled young, I’m assuming by taste it briefly spent time in previously used barrels for texture, not oak, nor toasty, flavors. With medium body, fine and present tannins and flavors galore, this 2021 red blend is drinking like a champ right now.

Buy it for the quality f the wine, stick around for the story. And for that story of La Cuadrilla, nobody does it better than Stolpman Vineyards. Read about it here then come back to me to buy it.
