45 year old vine, dry farmed Riesling. Under 13% alcohol and barely at threshold of perceived sweetness (0.76%), it’s a delicious combo of fruit, soil, flower and spice. Smell and taste white peaches, Meyer lemon, grapefruit, lemongrass, flower water and river rocks. Has modest acidity for Riesling…medium/high acidity for California white wine. Respect to Smith Madrone for sticking with their Riesling planting from the start, turning it into a Napa Valley classic!
