The bright, pretty, invigorating Post & Vine Old Vine Field Blend 2018 is full of red and blue fruits with peppery Asian spices, ginger, wild cherry, leather and tangy pomegranate flavors throughout. It is ethereal and surprisingly refreshing on the palate. Yet it still has a depth of flavor and unique personality that can be attributed to the old vines, field blending and expert winemaking. This is not the kind of wine that will score well at blind tastings, but will be one of the most popular at the dinner table.

The 2018 Post & Vine Old Vine Field Blend is a blend of roughly equal amounts Zinfandel, Carignane and Petite Sirah from 65+ year old vines in Mendocino’s Redwood Valley. In true field blend method, all three varietals are harvested and fermented together for cohesion and  harmony.

Post & Vine Owner/Winemaker Rebekah Wineburg launched with her 2012 Old Vine Field Blend. Total production of the three current release wines in under 500 cases. All are delicious, unique and excellent value artisan wines that you should have at the ready for happy drinking. Read all my Post & Vine reviews HERE.
