Chosen from a vineyard on the southern end of Mt Veeder, where the cooling Carneros has more influence, the Gro Chardonnay “Haspel Vineyard” is rich, multi-dimensional wine that will please all fans of the varietal. Pears, grated ginger, pineapple, orange melons and preserved lemon smells and flavors from start to finish. A little toasty, a scratch of vanilla bean. Round, succulent and vibrant. Definitely going the roast whole fish or shellfish/crustacean direction here.
