On Friday, May 8th, we’re opening five wines from The Ojai Vineyard, one of Santa Barbara’s true benchmarks. Long before the region found its footing, Adam Tolmach was making wines rooted in place—savory and structured yet unmistakably Californian.

Since founding the winery in 1983, Tolmach’s approach has always been independent and deeply site-driven. Long before it became common, he focused on:

• Single-vineyard bottlings

• Minimal intervention winemaking (native fermentations, restrained oak, no excess weight)

• A commitment to balance over power, even in warm California vintages
