California Riesling is where the old California and the new California meet.

On one side: historic Napa estates like Stony Hill, Smith-Madrone, and Sky, wineries that kept making Riesling while the rest of the state chased other things.

On the other: producers like Desire Lines, Kizor, Benevolent Neglect, Stirm, Tatomer, Intertidal, Read Holland, Lanthanide, Miriam, and Tojé, all treating Riesling as one of California’s most electric, expressive white wines.

This Friday, we’re bringing both sides together. Plus, Dan Dawson grilling up sausages.
