You gotta try the Covenant Blue C Viognier, an aromatic white wine that happens to be Kosher, happens to be from Israel (Upper Galilee and Golan Heights to be exact). Smells and tastes so good – honeysuckle, fresh apricots, peaches and Meyer lemons. Fantastic acidity that adds Super Ball bounce to its step. Mouth filling texture coming from brief neutral oak aging. Compares nicely to the best Santa Barbara Viogniers I’ve had over the years. For what’s in the bottle this is outstanding value (“Very Good Value” according to my formula.) Have with smoked fish, sushi and Korean pancakes.
