We’ll be tasting three current releases and two special library bottles. \nRebekah’s day job is winemaker at Quintessa\, but she fell in love with historic vineyards and has been bottling them in minuscule quantities since 2012. What happens when you match talented winemaking with historic vineyards? Well\, you get to taste Old California at a price that baffles in New California. This is a great way to get acquainted with some really special\, small production bottlings\, and taste rarely seen back vintages. \nFrankly\, handmade wines with this level of farming\, history\, transparency\, and sense of place should cost much\, much more. It is our good fortune (for now) that the world has not yet realized that historic vineyards should entail higher price tags. (Sometimes the flight will include a highly-rated Cabernet Sauvignon from another region or country.) Sit down to a flight of Cabs from AVAs  Oakville\, Mt. Veeder\, St. Helena\, Howell Mountain\, Diamond Mountain\, Rutherford and Coombsville (rotating selection). \nOuter Space Wines’ Owner Dan Dawson (the first-ever sommelier at The French Laundry) will begin the tasting with a short lesson on what makes Napa Valley unique and special for growing Cabernet Sauvignon\, then guide you through the tasting\, wine by wine. \nTaste great\, distinctive and rare Napa Cabernet Sauvignons and learn more about what makes them great from one of Napa Valley’s best wine experts and teachers.
