DESCRIPTION:Mascarin wines from the Sonoma Coast \nFriday\, March 6th 5-8pm \nJoin us for an evening exploring Mascarin Wines\, a boutique Sonoma County label rooted in thoughtful farming\, coastal influence\, and expressive\, terroir-driven winemaking. \nMascarin Family Wines is a small\, family-oriented project based just outside Healdsburg in Sonoma County that highlights the region’s unique maritime climate and diverse vineyard sites. The Mascarin portfolio reflects a commitment to sustainable viticulture\, attentive vineyard management\, and wines that speak clearly of their place in the Sonoma landscape. \nAt the heart of Mascarin’s wine program is winemaker Matt Taylor\, a third-generation Sonoma native who\, to me\, is one of the most fascinating winemakers in all of California. Matt’s career began as assistant winemaker at Joseph Swan Vineyards\, followed by formative experiences at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy\, working harvests in Argentina and New Zealand\, and serving as winemaker and vineyard manager for biodynamic estates like Araujo Estate Wines. Today he makes wines under his own eponymous label which has become revered within the natural wine circle\, but he also makes serious and classical wines for Ink Grade and Haynes. \nHe joined forces with Mia Mascarin-Oven\, 4th generation winegrower in Sonoma\, to help craft low intervention wines with a sense of place and ability to develop beautifully over time. \n2024 Mascarin Rosé of Pinot Noir \n2022 Mascarin Chardonnay\, Dalya Estate Vineyard\, Sonoma Coast \n2023 Mascarin Pinot Noir\, Moonshine Ranch Vineyard\, Sonoma Coast \n2023 Mascarin Red Field Blend\, Angelo Estate Vineyard\, Dry Creek Valley \n$30 for the flight\, also available by the glass
