Fantastic Favas With Wines to Match

Fava bean season has come late to Napa in 2023. Normally an April crop, they are going strong in June. Outer Space Wines says, “Let’s Celebrate Favas!”  

Outer Space Wines Owner/Resident Chef Dan Dawson will serve his ultra-fresh Fava Bean Puree on sourdough toasts (also made by Dan). With it will be served three wines to match: Italian, Alsace, France and California (all white or rosé). Here’s what you’ll enjoy with the favas:

Domaine Roland Schmitt Pinot Gris, Vin d’Alsace 2021 ($23/bottle)
Montenidoli Vernaccia di San Gimignano “Fiore” 2019 ($33)
Belong Wine Co Rosé “Chasing The Sunset” El Dorado 2022 ($28)
